Walk the coast path

Whether you are having an easy afternoon stroll, taking in the views, history and heritage or you want to challenge yourself to some more serious walking, you can do it by starting, finishing, or taking a detour into Royal William Yard.

Take in the architecture, history and heritage along with a stop off for refreshments or lunch along the way in one of the many eateries or a quick mooch in some of the shops Explore the South West Coast Path.

The South West Coast Path was originally created by coastguards, patrolling the south west peninsula looking out for smugglers. They literally had to check in every inlet so their cliff top walk was well used and gives us the amazing Path we use today. The Path has also been used by fishermen looking for shoals of fish and checking the sea conditions.
